Two Range Rovers (s/n 35800231A and other one) were supplied by Rover for the British Trans-Americas Expedition from Anchorage, Alaska to Tierra del Fuego between December 1971 and August 1972. The expedition was led by John Blashford-Snell. Both vehicles were the LHD Swiss market specification and were modified by the company with roof racks, bridging ladders, capstan winches, double front bumper, off-road tyres, single rear seat and stowage for vast amounts of equipment and supplies.
